# Other servers

The SDK talks to WordPlus Cloud's servers by default. Four filters point it elsewhere:

They are for a development server and for tests: the examples' `check.mjs` points them at a realtime server on the same machine.

**A self-hosted WordPlus Cloud server doesn't run the SDK yet.** It knows its sites by their licence keys, while channels and calls need each site's own credentials and its plan's features, which only WordPlus Cloud's servers have for now. A site on a self-hosted server uses WordPlus's own plugins there as before.
